Luca’s Brooklyn Pizzeria is a New York inspired pizza shop owned and operated by Jeremy Gatto in collaboration with Chef Andrew Collins. At a young age Jeremy’s father once said to him, “everybody has to eat.” This statement was the catalyst to Gatto’s career in food. Being from New York, Gatto had worked for some of the most famous chefs in the world. Yet he always had a passion for pizza.
A Student of sourdough Chef Andrew Collins takes pizza as seriously as his bread. As the former Head Baker of Root Baking Co., Andrew feels that in order to make the best pizza, you should have a full understanding of dough and bread. His time learning from Chris Wilkins gave him the tools to oversee Pizza Jeans as Executive Chef and continue his passion for pizza. He also loves long fermentation on the beach, and slow rising dough on rainy days.
